YOUR DAY TO DAY:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for technical assignments involving maximizing the manufacturability and maintaining timely product flow for the assigned products. The Manufacturing Engineer will implement and maintain efficient manufacturing equipment, processes and procedures; coordinating the introduction of new products into manufacturing, and identifying and solving production related problems, for assigned products.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Interfacing with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products.
  • Estimating manufacturing costs, determining time standards, process qualifications, work instructions, and making recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new and existing product lines.
  • Create and maintaining required documentation for manufacturing processes, process-failure-mode-effects-analysis, value-stream-maps, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis, and line balancing.
  • Research and test design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing lean manufacturing, kaizen, Six Sigma, poka-yoke, and root-cause analysis to formulate and support innovation, corrective actions, and improvements.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improving manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design materials and parts, fabrications processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
  • Collaborating with Quality Engineering to monitor product yield, provide product factory / field failure root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering – prefer Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering
  • 6-9 years relevant experience
  • Proven knowledge of manufacturing engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
  • In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles, TAKT, value-stream-mapping.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to clearly recognize and export information relevant to sound manufacturing engineering design.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, problem solving techniques, and quality processes.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Proficient with MS office
  • Familiarity with ERP (JDE) system an asset
  • Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing
  • Ability to collaborate with program managers, manufacturing leads, customers, and functional leads, and to provide daily direction and guidance to junior associates.
  • Must be able to meet CGP requirements
