Plumbhartt Heating and Plumbing Ltd. is a family-owned company providing exceptional plumbing and heating services across the Metro Vancouver area. We are seeking a motivated and reliable 3rd Year Plumbing Apprentice to join our growing team. This full-time position offers hands-on learning and skill development under the guidance of experienced Journeymen.
As a key team member, you will assist on residential and commercial projects, performing a wide range of plumbing tasks. Strong communication skills, eagerness to learn, and the ability to accurately document job progress using Jobber software are essential. This role suits someone who takes pride in their work, follows safety protocols, and enjoys being part of a professional and supportive team.
Skills and Qualifications
Registered 3rd Year Plumbing Apprentice with 1-2 years field experience
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plumbing layouts
Physically capable of heavy lifting, working in confined spaces, and performing repetitive physical tasks
Strong computer skills, including the use of mobile apps for job tracking, communication, and photo documentation
Comfortable using smartphones or tablets and familiar with Jobber or similar CRM software
Valid Class 5 BC driver's license with a clean driving record
Must supply and maintain a basic set of hand toolsStrong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to take direction and ask questions
Working knowledge of the BC Plumbing Code
Key ResponsibilitiesPlumbing Services:
Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, and venting
Support rough-ins, stack work, finishing, trap installation, drain cleaning, pipe repairs, and fixture installations
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and layout plans
Measure, cut, bend, thread, groove, and join pipes including copper, PEX, black iron, ABS, and cast iron using hand and power tools
Test piping systems for leaks using air or water pressure
Assist with gas line and appliance installations, where licensed
Safety and Site Coordination:
Follow all company safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
Operate hand and power tools safely, performing regular maintenance checks
Work on job sites with other trades and coordinate tasks as needed
Keep job sites and company vehicles clean and organized
Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or damages to the Office Manager immediately and complete required documentation
Communication and Professionalism:
Maintain consistent communication with the Supervisor and Office Manager regarding job progress, material needs, and unforeseen issues
Use Jobber to track time, update job status, upload site photos, and maintain accurate notes for each job
Interact with clients on-site in a professional and respectful manner
Assist with explaining work completed when appropriate and ensure the work area is clean at the end of the job
Represent Plumbhartt with a professional appearance and conduct at all times
Other duties as assigned by the company.
