As part of our Network Operations team, you'll:

• Monitor ORBCOMM's Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites and global ground systems using tools like Grafana, DataDog, and Nagios.
• Play a critical role in ensuring our 24/7 IoT services remain reliable and secure.
• Collaborate with global colleagues and technical experts to troubleshoot and resolve issues in real time.
• Build practical skills in network operations, monitoring, and problem-solving that will set you up for future growth.

With on-site opportunities in Sterling, VA or Ottawa, ON, you'll join a collaborative, mission-driven team at the heart of ORBCOMM's technology.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor IoT service performance using leading industry tools.
• Detect and resolve Tier 1 anomalies across ORBCOMM's LEO satellite fleet.
• Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of Ground/Earth stations.
• Perform basic network testing and resolve connectivity issues across devices.
• Participate in 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule as part of a global operations team.

Who You Are:

You don't need years of experience—what matters most is curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and weekends as part of a rotation.
• General knowledge of networking (switches, routers, serial servers).
• Basic troubleshooting skills related to connectivity

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Grafana, PostgreSQL, or scripting languages (Python, TCL).
• Interest in satellites, IoT, or network operations.
• Experience with dashboards or monitoring tools.
