Location
While we support a remote workforce across Canada, the primary function of this role requires the individual to be based out of our head office in Calgary, Alberta.
Job overview
We are seeking an IT Director to lead IT operations for our Canada offices, maintain and evolve the suite of enterprise tools we use to deliver our services, manage onboarding processes, and support key technology transitions. This role will partner closely with Strategic Business Unit (SBU) leads, HR, and global IT to deliver a seamless employee technology experience while ensuring compliance and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day IT operations across Canadian offices, ensuring reliable support and service delivery.
- Own and evolve IT technology onboarding
- Evolve and standardize IT onboarding processes for existing SBUs and newly acquired entities
- Assess current technology environments to identify gaps and alignment needs
- Design onboarding frameworks which ensure consistent deployment of systems, applications, and security protocols
- Collaborate with SBU leads, HR, and acquisition teams to plan and execute technology rollouts
- Build and maintain strong partnerships between global IT and SBUs to ensure alignment, trust, and responsiveness
- Oversee infrastructure setup, device provisioning, account creation, and access to business-critical tools
- Ensure all onboarding processes adhere to internal policies and compliance standards
- Collect feedback and analyze onboarding metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Scale processes to support growing headcount and future acquisitions efficiently
- Manage the personnel IT onboarding process, including user access, system setup, and documentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR and SBU leaders to align IT onboarding with workforce planning.
- Oversee account provisioning, device deployment, and user access management, primarily using Microsoft Entra, Google Workspace and other administrative tools.
- Track onboarding performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and lead local SOC 2 management initiatives.
- Support the transition of newly acquired teams to our standard technology stack.
- Maintain updated documentation and training materials for end users

- 510 years of experience managing and implementing scalable, repeatable IT solutions which work across diverse teams and adapt to future M&A activity. 3-5 years in a leadership capacity
- Strong background in human-centered IT change management mindset with empathy for employees, ensuring thoughtful rollouts which prioritize real-world adoption and ease of use
- Expertise in Mac endpoint support in a business environment
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entraand/or Google Workspace administration
- Experience in environments with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2)
