POSITION FUNCTION:
The Program or Project Facilitator develops and delivers suitable instructions/material, and/or facilitates one-on-one mentoring/coaching, and/or group mentoring, and/or community connection activities for clients of the program or project and administers program or project activities. The Facilitator may also support delivery of other program/project services/deliverables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the coordinator or manager to ensure completion of deliverables and contractual outcomes of the program or project
- Maintain knowledge of the unique needs of program or project participants, related activities and/or services, and relevant supports to meet those needs.
- May travel to clients residence to assist with contracted program support if required by program, project, or service
- May conduct research/needs analysis to better understand the unique needs among the program or project client group
- May assist in the recruitment or selection of program or project clients based on standardized assessment and evaluation procedures
- Refer ineligible clients to appropriate resources
- Develop, deliver, and maintain curricula and related resources, as applicable, and provide instruction in all program or project elements in person or online
- Organize events/forums/workshops at various MOSAIC locations or online as required
- Book speakers as required
- Work with MOSAIC settlement workers or other organization staff to refer clients to support groups and other program/project activities as needed
- May provide direct services such as one-on-one support, referrals, organization of support groups, organization of language support for clients as needed, provide information and advocacy support, volunteer opportunities, labour market and employment information and skill coaching, assessment services
- Collect statistical information required to meet funding, project or program expectations
- Provide support during client intake, conduct client needs assessment of services as needed
- Enter client services/activity information into the appropriate database in the prescribed format
- Maintain client files, and offer administrative support as appropriate
- Coordinate and liaise with consultants and/or volunteers/mentors for delivery of program or project activities as needed
- Publicize MOSAIC programs/services to the client group
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree in social work, business administration, adult education, sociology, and inclusion studies or a combination of coursework and experience.
- 1 3 years of experience guiding clients in the program/project area, program coordination and program delivery, facilitation, training etc.
- Building partnerships with community agencies and other stakeholders.
- Counselling skills; able to set professional boundaries with clients Cultural sensitivity; able to work with diverse groups Curriculum development
- Public speaking experience.
- Working with racialized immigrants and a broad range of cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and adapt to a changing environment.
- Proficient in utilizing virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or other video conferencing platforms to organize and facilitate virtual meetings and training sessions.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365, MS Teams, Slack, publishing software, databases, and operating standard office equipment.
- Organized and able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required.
HOURS: 21 hours per week until March 31st, 2026.
The successful candidate may be permitted to work a hybrid work model (combination of in-office and remote work).
Must be able to commute to the Boundary office at 5575 Boundary Road, Vancouver.
