Requirements
- Provide strategic leadership to the Quality Control department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Develop and implement quality control systems, procedures, and metrics to ensure compliance with internal standards, industry regulations (e.g., ISO 9001), and customer expectations.
- Manage daily QC operations, including inspections, audits, sampling, and testing procedures for raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality control technicians, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and professional development.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality performance; analyze trends and implement corrective and preventive actions to drive improvement.
- Serve as the main point of contact for quality-related issues, including customer complaints, product returns, and internal deviations.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality concerns.
- Collaborate with Production and Engineering to ensure new product introductions (NPIs) and changes are validated and meet quality requirements.
- Oversee calibration and maintenance of inspection and testing equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain audit readiness and lead internal and external quality audits, including certification and customer audits.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance process and product quality.
- Develop and maintain training programs to ensure quality awareness across production teams.
