General Superintendent
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Join a dynamic and established general contracting firm specializing in commercial, mixed-use, and multi-family residential construction projects across Western Canada. Must Haves

• Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial construction
• At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role managing construction job sites
• Proven ability to oversee multiple concurrent construction projects or field teams for a general contractor
• Proficient in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project
• Strong written and verbal communication and conflict-resolution skills
• Valid driver's license

Nice to Haves

• Red Seal certification or equivalent carpentry trade qualification
• Familiarity with lean construction principles or continuous improvement methodologies
• Training or certification in health and safety leadership
• Past involvement in constructability reviews and preconstruction planning
• Experience in standardizing field processes and procedures across job sites
• Background in managing union and non-union field teams

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Site Supervisors across multiple active construction projects
• Conduct routine site visits to ensure work progresses on schedule and meets quality standards
• Promote and enforce health and safety practices through leadership and oversight
• Collaborate with Project Managers and senior leadership to align field execution with project goals
• Standardize field protocols and drive consistency in site procedures and documentation
• Support subcontractor coordination, logistics planning, and on-site problem solving
• Mentor and develop Site Supervisors and field staff to strengthen team capabilities
• Coordinate supervisory coverage for upcoming projects, vacation scheduling, and labor needs
• Monitor site productivity, performance, and adherence to project milestones
• Serve as the senior field contact for high-priority decisions and client-facing discussions
• Participate in project planning meetings and provide input on constructability and scheduling strategies
