Job Summary
As EverLine General Manager, the objective is that with proper training, onboarding and support, to have the team member lead, oversee and manage EverLine's Northern Ontario franchise location and assist with the management of the Ottawa franchise location.
***Occasional travel (e.g. once or twice per month for a few days) will be required to assist with managing the Ottawa location. Travel expenses, accommodations, etc. will be covered.
The General Manager will be asked to oversee, manage and assist with the various aspects of the businesses including the Operations/ Production, Sales and Marketing, and Administrative teams.
It is preferred that the candidate have previous management experience in the construction field, including general construction, road-work, asphalt work, concrete work or other related industries.
The types of asphalt and concrete coatings and maintenance services that EverLine take-on include, however are not limited to:
  • Line painting
  • Asphalt Crack filling
  • Asphalt Infrared repairs and pothole repairs
  • Sealcoating of commercial, residential, and industrial properties
  • Epoxy Floors & Concrete Coatings
  • Acrylic Resurfacing of various types of sport courts
  • Etc.
Responsibilities
With the proper training, onboarding, assistance and oversight of the management team, the General Manager will assist with:
Operations
  • Learn and utilize the various platforms, tools, resources and equipment EverLine has on the production/ operations side of the business
  • Assist with leading production hands-on, when needed
  • Assist with leading team members/ crews to complete projects
  • Take part in site visits prior to starting projects
  • Project planning
  • Quality control of ongoing projects
  • Client communication and project scheduling
  • Reviewing project reports completing by the crews
  • Etc.
Sales & Marketing
  • Learn and utilize the various platforms, tools and resources EverLine has on the sales and marketing side of the business
  • Assist with sales and marketing efforts such as client prospecting, estimating, creating project proposals, etc.
  • Taking part if site visits to provide project proposals/ quotes
  • Assisting with the planning and execution of marketing plans
  • Etc.
Administration
  • Learn and utilize the various platforms, tools and resources EverLine has on the administration side of the business
  • Help oversee and manage AR, AP, payroll, cash-flows, budgets, etc. of the business
Qualifications - What you need to bring:
  • Previous experience managing teams and projects in the general construction field.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • A positive, helpful, constructive, and ready-to-work attitude.
  • You are a self-motivated, critical thinker who likes to problem-solve.
  • You understand the importance of punctuality, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding role with lots of walking, bending, and lifting (up to 75lbs).
  • Ability to work well independently and unsupervised.
  • A G Class drivers license with a clean driving record and a reliable mode of transportation
  • A cell-phone with access to internet/ data.
  • The ability to occasionally travel to help manage and oversee EverLine Ottawa's franchise location.
