Position: Superintendent - Electrical / Instrumentation

Location: Kapuskasing, ON - Papermill

Requirements:

• Language: English (spoken and written) and French would be considered an asset.

• Education: University degree - Electrical or College equivalent.

• Experience: 7+ years preferred.
  

Responsibilities:

• Promote and provide a safe workplace, seek improvements, and support Health & Safety.

• Ensure maintenance services are effectively planned, co-ordinated and delivered on time, while meeting cost and quality standards.

• Maintain and improve an effective preventative maintenance standard to ensure maximum efficiency and performance of mill equipment.

• Report to Maintenance Manager.

• Manage the Filter Plant, the mill's power system to ensure that processes are in place to prove continuous water and power safely and efficiently at minimum cost within environmental guidelines.

• Ensure E/I areas are manned with a capable workforce by applying succession planning systems, coaching, accountable leadership practice and training.

• Recommend improvements and/or changes to the maintenance management system and standards.

• Ensure compliance with all safety / environmental legislation and take corrective action as required.

• Maintain an effective cost reduction program.

• Identify opportunities or risks related to manufacturing or processes and work effectively with colleagues to take appropriate action.
