At Earthscape, we create beautiful, innovative custom playground sculptures and structures that inspire children and adults to creatively play. By partnering with some of the most prestigious Landscape Architecture firms in North America, we bring brilliant playground concepts to life. Our award-winning design-build firm is located just outside of Elmira, Ontario in Waterloo Region.

Together, our ambitious team designs, engineers, builds and installs state-of-the-art timber playgrounds that become iconic and well-loved destination spaces. The work environment we've created is positive, productive, fun and rewarding. To see our one-of-a-kind projects, visit www.earthscapeplay.com.

Currently, we are looking for a Construction Project Scheduler to join our growing team. The role of this team member is best suited to someone who is exceptionally detail-oriented and a truly superior communicator. You'll be instrumental in orchestrating complex schedules across our internal fabrication, design, engineering, and logistics streams. We're looking for an individual who will take full ownership of optimizing these critical timelines, ensuring our operations flow seamlessly. If you're accountable for task ownership and aren't shy about tackling unique challenges, you'll thrive here. Our playgrounds don't fit within regular building code categories, so we need someone ready to confidently navigate that "outside the box" environment.

The role:

  • Do you enjoy solving puzzles? Appreciate a train that arrives on time? Remembering someone's birthday? Scheduling at Earthscape literally connects us all and the right person helps keep us strong.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as design, engineering, fabrication and supply chain to accurately input and maintain project timelines, milestones and deliverables
  • Monitor progress against the schedule, and identify and resolve minor scheduling conflicts, escalating complex issues
  • Conduct regular meetings to review schedules with internal stakeholders and adjust as necessary
  • Prepare and process invoices accurately and on time, maintaining organized records of financial documents.
  • Assist with tracking accounts receivable and following up on outstanding payments
  • Attend weekly internal meetings and distribute comprehensive notes
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, maintain filing systems, handle inquiries, and assist with other administrative duties.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • 1+ years of scheduling, project coordination, or construction operations
  • Experience in manufacturing, design or construction industry (preferred)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple deadlines, personalities, and moving pieces
  • Comfortable working on a computer, including learning new systems and using scheduling or project management software like Smartsheet, Monday.com, or Jira
  • Knowledge of construction industry (construction materials, site work)
  • Strong proficiency in Google Suite, particularly Google Sheets
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping, particularly with financial data
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

You'd be a great fit if you:

  • Are a confident problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and initiative
  • Have a proactive attitude with exceptional communication skills

What's in it for you?
This job will offer you the opportunity to work on some of North America's most innovative playground projects. The pace, challenges and problem-solving opportunities will mean you are never bored. You will have the chance to develop and refine a wide variety of skills in our rapidly growing business. Your colleagues are dynamic, and highly skilled. They have an impressive range of backgrounds, skills and expertise.

We believe in great compensation for great employees, and we reward our staff with a combination of:

  • Profit sharing and performance bonuses
  • Employee share ownership opportunities (ESOP) after 1 year of service
  • Six-week sabbatical after 14,000 hours worked

  • Flex time with options to work remotely to support work-life balance
  • Company events
  • Casual dress code
