Available Positions
Event Coordinator (2 positions)
Event Coordinators are responsible for planning and executing events for DAN School students. This includes traditional events such as the year-end Formal and "Are You Smarter Than a Professor?", as well as new student-led initiatives each semester. This role requires strong collaboration with the Assistant Event Coordinator and Marketing Coordinator.
Time Commitment:
Must attend council training on Sunday, September 14
Must be available bi-weekly on Saturdays from 5:306:30 PM for council meetings (subject to change)
Note: This is an unpaid position.
Fundraising Coordinator (1 position)
The Fundraising Coordinator develops initiatives that support the financial sustainability of council events.
Key responsibilities include:
Organizing council merchandise in the Fall semester
Leading the main fundraiser and assisting with additional events in Winter
Time Commitment:Must attend council training on Sunday, September 14
Must be available bi-weekly on Saturdays from 5:306:30 PM for council meetings (subject to change)

Equity and Access Representative (1 position)
This representative promotes accessibility and inclusivity across all DAN School operations and events.
Duties include:
Facilitating communication lines for student concerns
Attending weekly DAN School Access Committee meetings
Meeting monthly with DAN School staff on equity issues
Assisting Year Representatives with a Wellness Resource Binder

Marketing Coordinator (1 position)
The Marketing Coordinator leads all promotional and communication efforts for the Council.
Responsibilities include:
Planning and executing marketing campaigns
Coordinating newsletters
Managing the Council's Instagram (graphic design, post management)
Exploring additional strategies to drive event engagement
Time Commitment:Must attend council training on Sunday, September 14
Must be available bi-weekly on Saturdays from 5:306:30 PM for council meetings (subject to change)

Photographer/Videographer (2 positions)
This role involves documenting council events and providing content for marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
Photographing or recording an average of 12 council events per month
Optionally organizing a photography-based event (e.g., headshot sessions)
Time Commitment:Must attend council training on Sunday, September 14
Not required to attend bi-weekly council meetings

DAN Studio Series (DSS) Producer (2 positions)
The DAN Studio Series (DSS) showcases student-created theatre productions in both the Fall and Winter terms. Producers oversee the full production processfrom administration and marketing to budgeting and fundraisingwhile helping shape the creative vision of each performance.

QUSMEA Director (1 Position)
Join the DAN DSC as the QUSMEA as the Director, overseeing all QUSMEA initiatives under the DAN Department Student Council. Collaborate with Co-Presidents to form and lead a dedicated team, organize meetings, and manage event logistics and budgets. Drive the creative vision by planning diverse activities like coffee houses and conferences, ensuring timely completion of AMS and ASUS event forms. Attend bi-weekly council meetings to update on QUSMEA progress and align with DAN School student needs.
Time Commitment:
- Must attend council training on Sunday, September 14
- Must attend all DAN DSC meetings throughout the year
- Will collaborate regularly with the DAN DSC Co-Presidents and QUSMEA Team
