Bench Brewing Company is an independent craft beverage company proudly located in the beautiful Niagara Benchlands wine region of Niagara and the Town of Lincoln.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Brewer to join our amazing team. Reporting to our Head Brewer, you will play an integral part of the day-to-day brewing operations at Bench. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast paced and innovative craft brewery!

Located in the heart of Niagara's wine country, the Bench Brewing is located on the site of the historic Maple Grove Public School in Lincoln, Ontario. Our brewery is a place for our guests to relax, learn, and experience our amazing craft beverages.
The Bench Brewing Campus sits across eight beautiful acres of farmland and features our popular tap and tasting room, beer garden, our very own hops yard and Fieldstone at Bench Event Venue. Our property houses a beautiful Church built in 1938 that has been converted to the Fieldstone at Bench facility. It has an indoor seating capacity of approximately 80 guests and during the warmer seasons the events lawn can seat up to 225 guests.
Bench is a certified B Corporation and strives to be a leader in sustainability, having achieved a zero-wastewater footprint and Carbon Neutral certification by Radicle Climate Smart.
In January 2023, Bench Brewing and Henderson Brewing announced a long-term partnership for both brewing and selling Henderson's core beers. Henderson Brewing Co. is located in the heart of Toronto in the hip Dundas West area as well as Henderson Brewery @YYZ in collaboration with Canadian rock band Rush. Henderson believes in making innovative and approachable beers that reflect the stories and culture of Toronto.
In April 2023, Bench Brewing acquired the Niagara Cider Company whose goal is to craft dry, flavorful, and balanced ciders using the bounty of all the fruits that Niagara and Ontario have to offer. Niagara Cider has quickly become a top selling Ontario Craft Cider brand as well as winning multiple awards for their family of ciders.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Brewhouse Operations: Produce quality wort to recipe specifications. Follow SOPs for operation, basic maintenance, and cleaning.
- Cellar Operations: CIPs for FV, BBT, yeast brinks, clarification equipment etc. Yeast harvesting & pitching. Secondary additions.
- Funk & Innovation: Support funk cellars & barrel room operations.
- Safety: Follow all safety protocols, participate in all safety trainings. Wear PPE and report safety hazards.
- Quality: Participate in daily sensory panel. Follow protocols to ensure a high level of quality from raw materials to BBT.
- Cleaning & Sanitation: Keep brewery in a tour-ready state.
- Sustainability: Follow protocols for side-streaming and reducing water usage.
- Brand Ambassadorship: Be a positive role model for Bench. Share knowledge about brewery & Bench beers.
- Future training of other brewers (timing based on applicant experience).
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Post-secondary education, preference for degrees in science/engineering/brewing or other beverage alcohol
- Hands-on craft and/or commercial production brewery experience is an asset
- Demonstrated passion for and interest in beer and brewing
- Dedication to quality and safety
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to change
- Team player with positive attitude
- Willing to work shifts (ranging from 6am-10pm)
