- Match the right loads to the right trucks—balancing destinations, deadlines, and fleet availability like a pro.
- Keep a pulse on multiple moving parts: driver hours, loading sequences, mileage, service windows—you name it.
- Proactively find capacity to move freight and keep things flowing.
- Tackle problem shipments with urgency and precision.
- Keep stakeholders informed by monitoring shipment status and flagging issues before they become problems.
- Act as the go-to contact for both internal teams and external clients—making sure everyone's in the loop and on the same page.
- 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CITT) or education in logistics, supply chain, or transportation is an asset.
- A strong understanding of Atlantic Canada geography is a bonus!
- A multitasker with excellent time management skills.
- A self-starter who thrives on making smart, data-driven decisions.
- A natural problem-solver who can think fast and negotiate effectively.
- Adaptable and calm under pressure—even when priorities shift or timelines tighten.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools—especially Excel and Outlook.
- Familiarity with TruckMate or similar TMS software? That's a plus.
