Senior Material Planner

We are seeking a skilled material planner within our automotive parts manufacturing division. This role is a key position in our supply chain management as well as co-ordinating with our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving and tracking customer releases (through EDI or email releases)
• Where require negotiating with customers for find agreeable solutions with respect to changes in demand.
• Working with a MRP system, determining component and FG requirements
• Issuing releases to suppliers
• Arranging shipments (land, sea and air)
• BOM maintenance
• Coordinating inventory counts and reconciling
• Tracking shipments

Qualifications

• College / University educations
• Experience in working in a manufacturing plant (preferable automotive parts)
• Strong Excell and analytic skills
• Strong understanding of material planning, logistics and purchasing
• Strong communications skills
• Negotiation skills an asset

Position Reports to: Materials Manager

Working hours: 7 AM to 3:30, flexible, occasionally some overtime,
