We've developed the industry's first Balance Development Automation platform, SD Elements, that combines the power of risk assessment with threat modeling and secure coding - all in one powerful platform. This, in combination with our industry-leading e-Learning offerings, allows us to support our customers in mitigating risk and accelerating software time-to-market without sacrificing security.

As Agile Coach, you'll be reporting to the Director, Agile Product Delivery in our Agile Delivery unit. You'll join a highly collaborative and tight-knit team to help maintain and improve the development and delivery of SD Elements to its customers. You'll work across multiple teams leveraging your mastery of process and project management to continuously improve our product development.

We are open to candidates across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). We are a remote-first company with a head-office in Toronto.

What you'll do

  • Own processes across the engineering team, particularly coordinating software development processes with other teams and key stakeholders
  • Leading the team's efforts in continuous improvement:
    • Measure and continuously improve our processes, with a focus of on-time delivery and product quality
    • Helping track and analyze team sprint statistics (velocity, work-in-progress, etc)
  • Facilitating
    • the team's progress toward their goals
    • discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
    • daily stand-ups, retrospectives, estimation & sprint planning
  • Maintaining Agile and Scrum values; helping others to understand and follow these values
  • Assistance with managing the strategic projects of the SD Elements team
  • Eliminate impediments

What you'll need to succeed

  • 3+ years of experience as a Agile Coach/Scrum Master in at a software company
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Process measurement and improvement experience
  • Ability to guide teams on how to get the most out of self-organization
  • Experience measuring internal development team metrics
  • Prior experience reporting the status of development initiatives to various stakeholders (the team, management, etc)
  • Servant leadership style whenever possible and leading by example

What does the interview process look like?

  • Phone Interview – You'll start with a 20-minute phone screen with someone from our Recruitment team to learn more about your background and goals for your next role.
  • Technical Interview (1 hour) - An interview with a member from the Agile Product Delivery team and one of our Engineering Managers to learn more about your background and shed light on how the scrum teams operate today.
  • Practical Assessment - (45 minutes effort maximum) - A practical exercise that will be discussed in the next round.
  • Hiring Manager Interview - This is an opportunity to meet with the Director, Agile Product Delivery and learn more about the role, the team and the specifics of the role, while they learn more about your job specific experience and how you like to work.
  • Culture-Add Interview – 30-minute virtual meeting with either our Chief People & Culture Officer or CEO to learn how your values align with our CCOAR values of Customer Focus, Collaboration, Ownership, Authenticity and Respect.

The listed salary range reflects base pay and may vary based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and skill level. Final compensation will be determined after evaluating each applicant's unique background and skills for the role.

GTA pay range $110,000—$120,000 CAD
