About the Program
The Immigrant Womens Integration Network (IWIN) is part of our Community Programs Department, which offers inclusive, community-based programming to reduce isolation and support newcomer engagement. IWIN creates space for immigrant and refugee women to build skills, confidence, and community connections.
As aProgram Support Worker, youll contribute to a small, dedicated team focused on delivering safe, welcoming programming. Youll help coordinate logistics, support participants, and ensure smooth operations, making a meaningful difference in the lives of women building new lives in Edmonton.

What You Will Do
Participant Engagement & Support
- Lead outreach and participant intake
- Welcome and assist participants through the full program cycle
- Refer participants to additional internal or external supports
Program Coordination
- Help plan and run group sessions, events, field trips, and guest speaker visits
- Manage bookings, supplies, registration, and transportation
- Support in-person and virtual sessions, including backup facilitation
Administration & Communication
- Maintain accurate records in ICARE, SharePoint, Istedy, and other systems
- Track attendance and feedback for reports
- Create program materials, posters, and newsletters (with support from Communications)
- Build positive relationships with community partners

Required:
- BFOR: Must be a woman, femme, or female-identified person, due to the gender-specific and culturally responsive nature of the program
- Lived experience related to migration, displacement, or supporting women through community-based work
- 3+ years of experience in community programs, outreach, or direct service
- 3+ years of experience working with immigrant or refugee communities, particularly with women
Preferred:
- Diploma or degree in community/social services or a related field
- Experience with participant intake, support, or event coordination
- Fluency in a language other than English
- Familiarity with systems like ICARE, SharePoint, or Istedy
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, Teams, cloud storage)
- Creative skills for communication tools (e.g., posters, newsletters)
