We are seeking a Program Manager, Personalised Cancer Care & Health Equity to join our Toronto team on an 8 Month Contract.

This role will be responsible for Movember's programmatic efforts related to programs aimed at improving the quality of life for men with prostate cancer. A significant function of this role will be the monitoring and management of grant funding programs related to health equity and personalised cancer care.

  • Deliver the grant programs end-to-end, including discovery phase, request for proposals, peer evaluation and selection, contracting, implementation, evaluation, and execution.
  • Manage relevant project management plans, deliverables, changes, and updates for the grant program.
  • Manage knowledge synthesis, translation and exchange across all prostate cancer programs/projects including personalized cancer care and health equity initiatives, managed directly by Movember or our Men's Health Partners. This will be done in collaboration with other team members accountable for specific project aims.
  • Produce relevant project management documents and progress reports in collaboration with program management teams, including bi-annual and annual reporting including close out documentation as required across all programs.
  • Maintain and review program risks and issues, develop and implement mitigation strategies and communicate to Director Personalised Cancer Care & Health Equity for escalation.
  • Provide guidance to external organisations on tasking instructions, timelines, turn-around expectations, funding requirements, contracts negotiations, Monitoring and Evaluation plan, handbook, templates and reporting and other information, materials or resources needed.
  • Identify appropriate program KPIs, track and communicate progress to Director Personalised Cancer Care & Health Equity, and the Monitoring and Evaluation team.
  • Establish implementation framework and impact reporting.
  • Develop communications and programmatic assets, in collaboration with Marketing & Communications, including Award Announcements and Knowledge Translation.
  • Plan and develop well-written, implementation science focused project content, including but not limited to key documents, presentation slide decks, interactive video program scripts, collaborating with internal staff, external KOL experts and patient advocates.
  • Represent grant outcomes and future direction to internal and project governance as required.
  • Accountable for the development, completion, monitoring and compliance of Program Service Agreements and Award Letters.
  • Fiscal year budget planning and financial position reporting.
  • Collaboration with legal and finance to negotiate and carry out contractual requirements across telehealth programs and projects.
  • Annual review and update of Program Report Cards for all active grant programs across all markets managed and delivered by Movember for Personalised Cancer Care and Health Equity initiatives.
  • Review literature to guide key market insights and inform grant objectives and requirements for sustainable and impactful investment.
  • Work with relevant project partners to consult and shape project directions and outputs to align with Movember's Strategy in consultation with Director Personalised Cancer Care & Health Equity.
  • Collaboration with the Movember Monitoring and Evaluation team to embed MEL within program.
  • Work closely with Movember legal, finance, campaign, and marketing teams to ensure currency and accuracy of grant funding agreements and to maintain close working relationship with external organisations and key individuals.
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange community with grant recipients.
  • Provision of direct support to Director Personalised Cancer Care & Health Equity to meet program outcomes, strategic vision development, stakeholder management and external engagement.
  • Proactive engagement and close working relationships with Movember governance, technical, creative, and fundraising areas to understand organisation business functions and how these contribute to program delivery.

For this role, you'll need:

  • Relevant graduate qualifications in a health-related discipline, health science or population health
  • 5+ years program and project management experience within a health-related environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to effectively manage conflicts and negotiations and influence
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and planning skills
  • Proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to maintain process and adhere to governance requirements.
  • Effectively utilizes information technology systems and project management tools including systems (MS project, Microsoft Visio, Excel, SmartSheet, etc.)
  • Proficiency in analytical thinking and an ability to convey complex implementation science framework in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to operate independently, make decisions and seek direction as required
  • Strategic thinker
  • Financial skills to develop and monitor large budget plans, including defining and implementing financial commitments in Movember contracts
  • Able to work in a fast paced and growth environment
  • Discretion and confidentiality.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge in the prostate cancer/oncology setting
  • Project management certification
  • Global program management experience
