Position Overview:

Forum is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Associate, Investor Relations (Inside Sales) to join our growing private client team. Based in our downtown Toronto office, the Associate will play a critical role in expanding Forums reach across the Canadian wealth management channel, with a particular focus on prospecting, outbound sales activity, and call effectiveness.

Reporting to the Managing Director, Alternative Assets, this individual will work in close partnership with Executive Directors across assigned regions to uncover advisor needs, introduce Forums private alternative strategies, and support the client journey from discovery through to investment.

This is a high-activity, high-growth role ideal for someone looking to develop a long-term career in wholesaling, sales, or investor relations within the asset management industry.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Prospecting

  • Conduct high-volume outbound calls and follow-up emails to initiate meaningful conversations with investment advisors.
  • Book introductory and follow-up meetings for Executive Directors with both existing and prospective advisors.
  • Drive advisor engagement across assigned territory by presenting value-add content, fund information, and thought leadership.
  • Uncover advisor needs and identify alignment with Forum products and solutions.

Advisor Support & Relationship Management

  • Provide white-glove service to advisors and their teams, including assistance with fund documents, investment materials, and subscription processes.
  • Manage all inbound advisor queries and ensure timely resolution by liaising with fund operations and investor services.
  • Support completion and tracking of subscription documents in partnership with Executive Directors and fund administrators.

Sales Operations & CRM Management

  • Maintain up-to-date activity logs, call notes, and pipeline details in CRM (Salesforce).
  • Generate and maintain dashboards to track outreach activity, advisor engagement, and fund adoption metrics.
  • Prepare customized performance reporting, competitive positioning, and portfolio analysis to support advisor conversations.

Regional Sales Support

  • Execute the territory business plan in collaboration with Executive Directors, contributing to key regional and national initiatives.
  • Rotate coverage across all advisor segments, with a focus on converting emerging relationships into active supporters.
  • Help coordinate territory events, webinars, and roadshows, and gain advisor commitment to participate.

Field Exposure & Development

  • Participate in quarterly field visits to the assigned region to gain experience in in-person sales execution and deepen advisor relationships.
  • Develop core sales competencies and industry knowledge to position yourself for future wholesaling roles within Forum.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • CSC designation (or willingness to complete within first 6 months).
  • 1+ years of experience in a sales, inside sales, or client service role in financial services; knowledge of Canadian wealth channels is an asset.
  • Strong business development orientation with a proven ability to initiate and advance sales conversations.
  • Highly organized with strong CRM habits and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable on the phone and in written correspondence.
  • Driven, entrepreneurial, and collaborative thrives in a high-performance, client-focused culture.
  • Committed to professional development and long-term career growth in sales or investor relations.
  • Must be based in the Greater Toronto Area and available to work in-office 5 days per week.
