Are you a bold, business-driven PR leader ready to shape the future of brand storytelling in Canada?

We're looking for a Vice President of Consumer who thrives on building high-impact campaigns, inspiring teams, and translating big ideas into measurable business results. You'll lead integrated communications programs for some of the most recognized consumer and retail brands—and ideally bring experience in the fast-evolving tech space.

This is more than a leadership role. It's an opportunity to be a strategic partner to top-tier clients, turning innovation into influence and headlines into impact. You'll drive smart, insight-led media and influencer strategies, build trusted C-suite relationships, and guide a high-performing team of consultants.

What sets you apart:

  • You're a sharp, proactive thinker. You know how to build buzz and are always one step ahead of trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • You have experience shaping reputation, and delivering real business value.
  • You're energized by mentoring talent and growing client relationships.
  • You're hungry to win—whether that's through breakthrough campaigns or bold new business pitches.

If you're ready to lead from the front, drive award-winning work, and shape the next chapter of consumer PR in Canada, we want to meet you.

Responsibilities:

Client Leadership & Strategy

  • Work with a multidisciplinary team of experts across the organization to lead the development and execution of integrated communications strategies for leading consumer brands, grounded in insights, trends, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Act as a proactive thought partner to senior clients—consistently one step ahead—by delivering breakthrough ideas that drive business outcomes through strategic media relations, brand storytelling, issues management, and executive visibility.
  • Navigate high-profile moments—from product launches and category disruption to sensitive brand reputation challenges

Business Development

  • Help grow the consumer and tech portfolio through organic growth and new business development.
  • Identify white space opportunities and develop compelling proposals and pitches tailored to brand needs and cultural relevance.
  • Represent ChangeMakers in industry conversations and contribute to thought leadership and agency profile-building.

Team & Project Leadership

  • Manage and mentor a team of consultants, ensuring delivery of high-quality, high-impact work.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture and support professional development across levels.
  • Collaborate with in-house specialists in creative, media, digital, influencer, and data to deliver seamless, multi-platform campaigns.

What You Bring:

  • 15+ years of strategic communications experience, with deep expertise in consumer PR; agency background strongly preferred, tech sector experience a plus.
  • Proven success managing national and integrated brand campaigns, from strategy to execution.
  • Strong expertise in media relations, influencer engagement, crisis/issues management, and executive positioning.
  • A deep understanding of digital and social media trends, and how to leverage them to reach modern audiences.
  • A growth mindset and entrepreneurial drive – identifying leads, comfortable leading new business pitches, and building client relationships.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, presentation, and team leadership skills.

Leadership Attributes:

  • Decisive and confident in high-stakes situations, with the ability to lead teams and clients through ambiguity.
  • Strong business acumen: able to manage project budgets, team resources, and drive account profitability.
  • A builder of culture and community: supportive team leader, mentor, and collaborative partner.
  • Energized by creativity, curiosity, and purpose-driven work
