Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specification

• Coordinate and supervise all trades and subcontractors on-site

• Ensure strict adherence to food industry building standards and retrofit requirements

• Maintain site documentation, including daily reports, safety logs, and schedules

• Conduct regular site meetings with trades, consultants, and project management

• Identify and resolve on-site issues proactively

• Enforce health and safety protocols in accordance with company and legal standards

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to maintain the project schedule and budget

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Superintendent on industrial or retrofit projects

• Proven track record in food facility retrofits, cold storage, or logistics buildings is a strong asset

• Strong understanding of industrial building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, structural)

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to site daily (Barrie, ON)

• Working knowledge of Ontario Building Code and OHSA

Contract Terms:

• Project-based contract (estimated duration: 8–12 months)

• Competitive contract rate based on experience
