The Role

TEC Canada is seeking a passionate and motivated Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a creative individual who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment and is eager to help expand the reach and impact of our brand.

As a key member of our marketing department, you will manage and execute complex digital campaigns across multiple platforms. Youll play an essential role in shaping how TEC connects with its audience through social media, SEO, webinars, podcasts, paid media, and more. Youll work cross-functionally with other departments, collaborate with external agencies, and be responsible for creating meaningful, high-performing content that aligns with our business goals.

Responsibilities

Social Media Management

  • Strategically plan and execute TECs organic and paid campaigns in partnership with digital agencies.
  • Manage and monitor social channels (LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Hootsuite) to drive brand awareness, generate leads, and grow engagement.
  • Create compelling written, visual, and video content tailored for each platform.
  • Define and track KPIs, regularly reporting on performance and making data-driven optimizations.
  • Support Chairs and internal advocates in creating LinkedIn content and shareable updates.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends and platform changes.

Website & SEO

  • Update and optimize TECs website content using WordPress and other Content Marketing System platforms.
  • Implement SEO best practices including meta descriptions, image alt text, and keyword integration.
  • Monitor site performance, time on page, conversions, and adjust strategies as needed.

Media & Campaign Execution

  • Coordinate with external digital partners on campaign objectives, targeting, and creative.
  • Support testing, form integrations (e.g., Zapier), and lead tracking.
  • Analyze performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend optimizations.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Compile insights and analytics across all marketing channels (social, web, email, paid).
  • Present findings in monthly and quarterly reports to inform content and strategy.
  • Identify trends and suggest innovative content formats or platforms to explore.

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Write long-form blog posts and member success stories.
  • Interview TEC Chairs and members, capturing their journeys and impact.
  • Script and storyboard engaging videos for use across channels.
  • Proofread and edit marketing copy for clarity and consistency.

Webinar & Podcast Production

  • Collaborate with internal teams to plan webinars, Taste of TEC sessions, Deeper Insights series, and special virtual live streams (e.g., Andersen Economic Report).
  • Coordinate logistics, speaker prep, promotional materials, and live execution.
  • Edit recordings for on-demand use and develop optimized content for future promotion.
  • Edit and produce professional-quality audio and video content.
  • Develop podcast show notes, thumbnails, and teaser clips.
  • Manage publishing and promotion of podcast episodes.

Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree in Communications or Marketing, specializing in digital marketing, marketing analytics, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience related to the responsibilities of the position.
  • Preferred 5 years of experience in the areas related to the position.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
  • Experience with SEO and SEM.
  • Experience managing PPC social and digital campaigns.
  • Proficiency in French would be a strong asset.
  • Experience with WordPress an asset.
