Thinkpath Engineering Services is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to work onsite at a customer location in Moncton, NB. This position will support a manufacturing effort on a large Canadian military program and will initially be a 6 to 12 month contract, with strong potential to become long-term.

Job Description

Process Optimization:

· Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes, analyze problems during production, and identify cost-effective solutions. Technical Leadership:

· Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to other engineers and staff.

Project Management:· Manage large projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.

Documentation and Standards:

· Create and review manufacturing documentation, including BOMs, assembly and test methods, and drawings.

Continuous Improvement:

· Investigate and implement reliable, consistent, and efficient processes, and work with production leads to manage cycle times.

Plant Layout and Facilities:

· Plan and design plant layouts and facilities, study new machinery and recommend efficient combinations.

Resource Management:

· Determine human resource and skill requirements, develop training programs, and evaluate performance.

Problem Solving:

· Analyze production problems, identify root causes, and develop and implement solutions.

Qualifications

The individual should be a subject matter expert in manufacturing processes and shall be capable of managing complex projects, providing guidance, and ensuring efficiency across various manufacturing processes.

Skills

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) or a related field.

· 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, with supervisory/management experience.

· Proficient in CAD/CAM software, manufacturing documentation, and relevant industry standards.
