Position Type: 5-Month Contract (Night Shift)
Hours: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Production Associate to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This role requires comfort with manual labor, the ability to stand for extended periods, and a strong commitment to teamwork and quality. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows instructions carefully, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the production line to ensure an on-time startup.
- Clean designated components of the production line as directed by Operating Leads.
- Stack and package finished products efficiently and accurately.
- Monitor product quality continuously and report any defects to Leads and the Process Improvement team.
- Track and report packaging material needs to Operating Leads and Section Supervisors.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Follow the established production cleaning schedule.
- Promptly report maintenance issues to Operating Leads.
- Comply with all Food Safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
- Observe assigned break and rotation schedules.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or a similar environment preferred.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with team members and visitors.
- Forklift license and experience are considered assets.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Language Requirements:
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and use hands for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass a medical fitness assessment.
- Fine motor skills required for tasks such as keyboarding.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing setting with varying noise levels (moderate to high).
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including respirators, hazmat suits, safety glasses, and gloves.
- Exposure to airborne particles (dust, organic materials).
- Temperature fluctuations depending on weather conditions.
