Job Overview:
An established underground mining operation in Windsor, Ontario is seeking a Journeyperson Machine Repairperson to join their maintenance team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role requiring a certified trades professional (421A – Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or 310T – Truck and Coach Technician) with experience maintaining both stationary and mobile industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working rotating shifts and overtime as required.
Safely operate and lubricate mining and industrial equipment
Complete inspection sheets, work orders, timecards, and status reports
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and low-voltage electrical systems
Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
Conduct installations, adjustments, and repairs on various equipment
Maintain clean, hazard-free work areas
Assist in shaft/hoist operations and support fuel truck use
Train junior team members in safe and proper procedures
Use CMMS systems and diagnostic software (e.g., CAT ET, SMAG, GHH)
Valid 310T or 421A certification (Skilled Trades Ontario)
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a mechanical role (preferred)
Strong mechanical diagnostic skills, including diesel engine troubleshooting
Proficiency in welding, cutting, and using power tools
Familiarity with crushers, screeners, conveyors, and power transmission systems
Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
Working ability to read and interpret schematics and fabrication drawings
Computer proficiency (Windows, CMMS tools, CAT ET, etc.)
Welding certification considered an asset
