Junior Arborist / Climber

We're hiring a Junior Arborist to join our crew full-time on residential and commercial tree care projects. If you've got some climbing experience and want to grow your skills in a hands-on, supportive environment, we'd love to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to work with experienced arborists, get regular training, and gain experience with bucket trucks, pruning, rigging, and removals.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the crew with climbing, ground work, and clean-up

• Learn and assist with tree removals, pruning, and rigging

• Operate chainsaws, ropes, and hand tools safely

• Set up work zones and help maintain a clean, professional job site

• Follow directions and safety protocols closely

• Take part in daily tailgate meetings and briefings

• Be open to training, feedback, and growing your skills

✅ Requirements

• Some climbing experience with ropes, saddle, or spikes

• Chainsaw safety training or experience using chainsaws

• Working at Heights certification (or willing to get it)

• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude

• Reliable transportation to and from the yard

• Willingness to show up early and work hard as part of a team

• DZ License

• Forklift training

• First Aid / CPR

• Arborist apprentice or working toward certification

What to Expect

• Start times between 6–7 AM

• Full-time, year-round position

• On-the-job training and mentorship from experienced climbers

• Opportunities to move into more advanced roles over time

• Occasional overtime and out-of-town work
