Description
We are currently looking for a self-motivated individual to become an integral part of our team at our Richmond branch. If you want to work in a dynamic team environment and you excel when being trusted with responsibility, then Nedco is the place for you. The District Operations Manager is a hands-on candidate who will assist in ensuring exceptional customer service while maintaining excellent operational and safety standards. This position may also be responsible for other relevant processes such as inventory and warehouse management and maintenance. He/she is accountable for meeting the Company's KPIs and customer service standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a consistent high level of customer service and safety
- Monitor and maintain Divisional KPI benchmarks
- Provide an environment of team culture and continual improvement
- Train employees on proper processes and sub-processes as determined by the Division Operations Manager
- Review variance and corrective action reports for specific areas of responsibility, offering solutions to ensure set levels of productivity and customer service are achieved
- Make recommendations for purchase of new warehouse equipment and machinery as needed
- Conduct comprehensive quality and safety audits of branch operations
- Identify opportunities for improvement and partner with branch management to implement corrective actions and enhance overall performance
- Ensure that all health and safety measures are followed
- Travel to assist with branch projects and staff coverage as required
Qualifications
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Exceptional leadership and time management skills
- Minimum 3 years' experience as branch Operations Manager or in a comparable role in Distribution Operations
- Knowledgeable in Lean and 6S methodology
- Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to operate reach and lift trucks
- Knowledgeable and experienced with Health and Safety practices within a Distribution Centre
- Flexible in Divisional travel and branch coverage
