We are looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist with a background in a food-related environment or a related environment. This role requires a proactive, organized, and adaptable professional who can effectively manage multiple priorities across several facilities/locations in a fast-paced setting. You will be a key member of our HR team, supporting core HR functions and stepping into overflow HR Business Partner responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned sites, ensuring responsive, professional support.
  • Handle day-to-day HR inquiries and provide guidance to employees and managers.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: postings, sourcing, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
  • GMP background
  • Coordinate effective onboarding and Day 1 readiness across locations.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records within the HRIS (e.g., Dayforce).
  • Support employee relations, including investigations and disciplinary actions.
  • Guide managers on performance management, employee development, and corrective action.
  • Provide timely and accurate employee updates to payroll.
  • Monitor and manage time and attendance systems.
  • Assist with Health & Safety tracking, reporting, and initiatives.
  • Generate reports and analytics to support strategic decisions.
  • Support and organize HR events, training, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Contribute to HR Business Partner functions, including workforce planning and policy implementation.
  • Participate in or lead HR projects to drive process improvement and enhance employee experience.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of HR Generalist experience, with familiarity with food-grade production standards, manufacturing, distribution, or a similar environment.
  • Solid understanding of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Experience with various HRIS systems
  • GMP experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple sites and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Discretion, professionalism, and strong problem-solving skills.
