Unosquare seeks a highly skilled and visionary Practice Lead to manage the AI Practice, a core division of the Data and AI Center of Excellence (CoE). The Practice Lead will strategically manage and guide the company's AI talent recruitment and capability expansion, with emphasis on Generative AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and AI Agents.

The AI Practice Lead will also be responsible for managing placement strategies, balancing delivery capacity and financial health, and maintaining profitability across AI initiatives. The Lead will collaborate closely with mentors, R&D leads, and technical interviewers to develop learning paths, AI roadmaps, and candidate evaluation strategies based on evolving market demands.

As the Practice Lead you will be responsible for:

Management of the AI Practice Recruitment Team

The Practice Lead needs to create sourcing strategies, monitor recruitment performance, review candidate's profiles and resumes, salaries (that match salary bands by countries),technical skills required by the market and open positions, analyze the market trending technologies, train the assigned recruitment team to understand better the practice profiles and attending the cultural fit calls for hiring a delivery professional.

Management of Growth and Placement Margins

The Practice Lead needs to oversee the growth of his practice by hiring new delivery professionals within the different country's salary bands and presenting candidates to the different opportunities created by the commercial arm of the organization.

• Oversee the AI team's growth by securing the right mix of roles (e.g., Generative AI Engineers, ML Engineers, Research Scientists, CV Experts, Applied Data Scientists).

• Collaborate with the commercial team to match AI capabilities with client R&D needs, proof-of-concept work, and production-grade projects.

Management of Bench and Client Presentations

The practice lead needs to ensure that the delivery professionals are placed into positions by quickly presenting the candidates (internal and external) to the Client Success Executives of the company. Ensure that the delivery professionals on the bench continue to grow their technical skills, controlling the bench cost limits. The practice lead needs to review the open positions created by Client Success, assist them in case an alignment call with the client's stakeholder, and provide candidates to help the closure of the opportunity.

Evaluators and Mentors – Management

A practice lead will manage a group of mentors who will oversee the creation of learning paths and help delivery professionals reach their technical growth goals. In addition, a practice lead will have a group of evaluators (interviewers) who will assess candidates (internal and external) and will provide technical feedback.

Foster a culture of research, experimentation, and applied AI innovation.

Technology Trends

Stay ahead of the curve on latest GenAI advances (OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta AI), ML operations platforms and continuous training strategies, and cross-industry AI applications (e.g., retail personalization, fraud detection, industrial automation)

Develop coding, model training, data handling, and inference best practices.

To be successful in the role you must possess:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field

• Hands-on experience building production-grade AI applications

• Proven leadership in AI/ML delivery or product organizations

• Strong grasp of AI technical stacks (NLP, CV, LLMs, MLOps, cloud-based AI)

• Excellent communication skills for technical and executive-level conversations

• Strategic mindset with ability to drive AI roadmap execution across geographies

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's/Ph.D. in AI/ML/Computer Vision/Data Science

• Track record of AI contributions (open-source, patents, publications)

• Familiarity with modern AI tools (LangChain, OpenAI APIs, MLFlow, Hugging Face, etc.)

• Experience deploying models in production with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Understanding of AI compliance, governance, and responsible AI frameworks
