We are hiring for a company in the construction industry with an immediate opening for a Quality Control Technician.
Start Date: Immediately
Shift: Rotating shifts from 7am-3:30 pm and 3:00pm-11:00 pm
Location: East Etobicoke
Rate: $32.50-$33.65
Responsibilities:

• Perform physical testing on products and compare results to manufacturing specifications, issue reports of findings.
• Compare results to manufacturing specifications and recommend process improvements
• Inspect product appearance, packaging, and labeling
• Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Coordinate and maintain calibration of lab equipment
• Manage quality control supplies and incoming raw material inspections
• Perform inspections to ensure compliance with FM, UL, ICC-ES, and IAPMO standards
• Participate in safety, housekeeping, and recycling programs
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years post-secondary education
• 3+ years of quality control experience in manufacturing
• Strong computer skills - ERP systems, report writing, SOPs
• Comfortable suing lab/testing equipment
• Must wear PPE (safety glasses, full-length pants, steel toed boots)
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and properly handle documentation.
