Join our team as a Robotics Service Technician!

Are you ready to be part of cutting-edge automation projects and help shape the future of industrial automation? We are looking for a Robotics Service Technician to join our growing Robotics division. In this role, you'll be the critical link between our engineering team and the successful deployment of advanced robotic solutions at customer sites. You'll work hands-on with robotic arms, industrial manipulators, and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), ensuring that our systems are installed, integrated, and operating smoothly in real-world environments.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and complete training on installation and operation of robotic arms, manipulators, and AMRs.
  • Travel to client sites for on-site installation, integration, and commissioning of robotics systems and automation packages.
  • Collaborate with engineers to diagnose and resolve hardware, wiring, and connectivity issues on-site.
  • Provide technical support and maintenance, including mechanical and electrical servicing, post-installation.
  • Engage with clients professionally and supportively, ensuring a high standard of customer service and system hand-off.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, issues, and resolutions.

Success Criteria:

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical system setup and diagnostics.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset, with familiarity using measurement tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Comfortable working in field environments, independently and with cross-disciplinary teams.
  • A positive, customer-first attitude and professional demeanor when interacting with clients.
  • Interest in robotics and motivation to grow within a technical team.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Previous experience in a field technician, service technician, or installation support role in a technical industry.

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with robotics platforms (industrial manipulators, collaborative robots, AMRs) such as UR and Kawasaki.
  • Exposure to basic programming (e.g., Python, C++, or ROS).
  • Experience working with Linux-based systems.
  • Knowledge of CAD software and basic mechanical design.
  • Understanding of control systems and sensor integration.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Work Location: Office-based, located in Delta, BC

Compensation: This is a full-time, permanent position with an annual salary range of of $70,000 to $90,000, based on experience and qualifications.
