The Shift Lead must carry out the established production plan, manage the premises and production equipment and can stay calm under pressure. They are often the point person for multiple parties, so they must be able to communicate with everyone effectively. The Line Lead will provide support for process improvements and assist in controlling efficiency, quality and safety throughout the shift.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Make sure that healthy and safe conditions are upheld, and that plant premises are safe,
- Participate in establishing production objectives and action plans for the plant,
- Assign and lead team members' work,
- Maintain the link with the management team and coordinate activities with the other departments,
- Guarantee production quality and quantities,
- Prepare reports and other plant operations-related documents,
- Participate in production planning and inventory management,
- Use the tools available to control the production of the plant,
- Solve problems encountered in the plant,
- Make sure work methods and production procedures for the plant are adhered to,
- Make suggestions on improving production processes for the plant,
- Train, advise and support team members in their work,
- Organize the reception, transfer and shipping of raw materials and finished products,
- Make sure that team members use plant equipment according to standard operating procedures,
- Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor/manager.

Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
- Leadership training/courses considered an asset
- Previous manufacturing or comparative experience (preferred).
- Detail oriented and high level of quality expectation.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Conflict resolution.
- Valid forklift license (considered an asset)
Language Skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English;
- Proficiency in Spanish and/or Filipino to interact with a diverse workforce preferred.
