**Canadian citizen or Permanent residents for ITAR purposes**
Primary Responsibilities:
* Measure machined parts with a variety of measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers & bore gauges.
* Measure and inspect parts during processing to ensure conformity to specification.
* Responsible for the inspection and acceptance of detail parts in-process in machine shop and surface finishing, Assembly.
* Will be required to evaluate products for acceptance to specific criteria, initiate rejection process where required, complete diverse paperwork and system records for traceability and movement of products.
* Complete First Article Inspection reports using AS9102 format.
* Able to work under minimum supervision in a team environment is essential. Work safely with heavy parts. Apply 5S workplace organization and Just In Time principals for Continuous Improvement.
* Must also possess good organizational and decision-making skills to ensure completion of paperwork and computerized tasks.
* Must be able to perform receiving inspections from Heat treat and plating offload centers.
* Generate and Manage Quality Notifications for repairs and upgrades as required.
Basic Qualifications:
* College diploma in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent and related work experience
* A minimum 3 year of quality inspection experience in a similar manufacturing environment; aerospace experience preferred.
* Demonstrated experience in reading 2D drawings and 3D Catia models, and understanding of geometric dimensional tolerance (GD&T)
* Skilled and experienced in using a variety of measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers & bore gauges.
* Successful candidates must meet all ITAR and CCGP Requirements.
* Able to Write QN and having MRB authority in the past is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of basic calibration (recall) system and quality audit experience
* Must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and possess good interpersonal skills.
