Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced and self-sufficient Trumpf Laser Operator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who can manage the entire laser cutting process independently, from programming and setup to production and quality control.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently operate and manage Trumpf laser machines (e.g., TruLaser, TruPunch) from start to finish.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production plans.

  • Create and optimize CNC programs using Trumpf software or directly on the machine.

  • Set up the machine, select proper materials, and adjust settings as needed without supervision.

  • Perform full inspection of parts and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.

  • Carry out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

  • Ensure optimal material usage and part accuracy with minimal waste.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Take full ownership of production targets and quality outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of Trumpf laser operation experience in Canada.

  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal guidance or supervision.

  • Strong knowledge of Trumpf controls, settings, tooling, and machine maintenance.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and CAD files.

  • Skilled in using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to verify tolerances.

  • Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills.

  • Physically fit – able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification is a plus.
