The Opportunity
Leavitt Machinery is looking for a driven Outside Sales & Rentals Representative to join our team in Coquitlam, British Columbia. As the Outside Sales & Rentals Representative, you will have the opportunity to grow your construction customer base in the Lower Mainland.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Outside Sales & Rentals Representative your key responsibilities will include:
Leading the overall sales and rental strategy and managing the related sales plan for your assigned territory
Developing business relationships with top customer accounts by identifying sales opportunities and presenting innovative solutions to customers
Managing target customer accounts, including prospecting and following up on sales leads
Identifying and building relationships with decision makers within existing accounts, developing an ongoing relationship strategy and establishing Leavitt Machinery as a trusted advisor
Turning leads into sales, including successfully negotiating pricing and closing deals
Providing input for the successful management of target customer opportunities while ensuring alignment with the overall account strategy
Coordinating with product experts to identify and capitalize on expansion and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
Conducting follow-ups with customers regarding orders, quotes, and services requested
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
1 to 3 years of prior experience in B2B sales is strongly preferred
Post-secondary education in Sales, Business Management, or a related discipline preferred
Construction or material handling industry knowledge considered an asset
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel
Previous experience working with a CRM system considered an asset
Strong relationship-building skills, negotiation skills, and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service skills and a genuine interest in identifying and presenting innovative solutions to customers
Personable and confident with a willingness to be coached and learn continuously
Excellent organizational skills and planning skills, as well as the ability to work effectively independently and as a part of a team
Maintaining a valid driver's license is required

The base pay range for this role is: $40,000 annual base salary plus uncapped commission (OTE approximately $100,000 in the first year).
This is an onsite role based in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
