Our client is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of heating and cooling equipment for the North American school and condo/resort markets. Reporting to the Supervisor for coils and risers, the Solderer/Brazer will solder or braze copper pipes and components onto HVAC subassemblies according to drawings and specifications. He/she prepares material by grinding, cutting and bending pieces of copper to ensure a proper fit when assembled.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret drawings and work orders in order to determine components, valves andsoldering required to complete work according to job specifications
• Assemble, align, and clamp various sized copper pipes and valves onto coil or riser units tosolder and/or braze components
• Complete tasks while ensuring performance targets and internal quality standards aremaintained
• Maintain proper and accurate documentation of production
• Performs regular equipment operation checks and reports maintenance requirements or defects to the Supervisor
• Follows "Safety First" philosophy
• Performs proper housekeeping and clean-up of welding booth
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education

• Ability to read, interpret blueprints, drawings and work samples

• experience with Oxy-Acetylene Soldering/ Brazing Copper

• Must be able to use hand and pneumatic tools

• Good hand and eye coordination

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Must have basic to intermediate computer skills

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

• Ability to perform duties as required with minimal supervision

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lb.
