    As the Director of Care, your key responsibilities will include:

    • Leading, mentoring, and managing the care team to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery

    • Overseeing the development and implementation of individualized care plans

    • Monitoring care practices and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards

    • Promoting a culture of safety, empathy, and respect

    • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, families, and external partners

    • Driving quality improvement initiatives and contributing to organizational growth

    • Managing staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations for care team members

    • Acting as a key point of contact for residents, clients, and their families regarding care matters

    Core Qualifications:

    Registered Nurse (RN) Status

    • Must be currently registered with an Ontario Registered Nurse License

    Educational Background

    • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

    • Additional certifications in Nursing Administration or related fields are an asset

    Experience

    • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Director of Care in a long-term care setting.

    • Proven experience in nursing management, including supervisory and financial reporting.

    • Knowledge of Relevant Legislation

      Demonstrated ability in areas such as:

    • Resident care planning and delivery

    • Quality improvement initiatives

    • Staff training and development

    • Budgeting and resource management

    • Compliance and regulatory reporting
