We are currently interviewing Maintenance Millwrights for a reputable manufacturing and material-handling company located in the Delta, BC area.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for maintenance and repairs of equipment used in the production facilities. This position works proactively and uses their experience to solve maintenance related problems in a concise manner to minimize production down time and contribute to manufacturing.
Your tasks as Millwright:
• Machine small parts for plant equipment as necessary
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment in the plant
• Advise on solutions to related problems with equipment
• Sharpen die sets as necessary
• Weld small components as required in the shop
• Perform major repairs on Punch Press and Roll Form machinery
• Mentor apprentices
• Perform maintenance on all production equipment in the plant
• Other duties as required
Qualifications as a Millwright:
• Red Seal Millwright ticket with at least 3 years working in a manufacturing environment
• Would consider a 4th year apprentice who is moving towards their Red Seal
• Fabricating experience is considered an asset
• Previous supervisory experience is an asset
• Must have previous working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Supply own CSA approved steel toed boots (required as part of PPE equipment in agreement with OH&S standards).
Schedule:
The shift will be 4x10s!!!
Day shifts (2 choices): Mon-Thurs: 6am-4:30pm or Tues-Fri: 6am-4:30pm
It is not a requirement, but if the candidate has some flexibility to work the afternoon/evening shift every now and then, that would be a great asset to us.
