At Encore Draperies, we're committed to always being better. Since 1999, we've been supplying the hospitality and healthcare industries with elegant, high-quality bed coverings and window treatments. For us, client satisfaction is paramount, and that shows in the reputation we've built over nearly 20 years. Now we're looking to expand our sales team and add a talented salesperson(s) to our experienced and supportive team. That's where you come in.

As our new Outside Sales Representative, you'll take our fully realized product line and introduce it to the world. Backed by a huge selection of quality designs, fabrics, and price options, you'll seek out key decision makers who are ready to find a new supplier to meet their needs. Beyond your skills in sales and presentation, this role will also involve research: figuring out what our competitors are offering, who they're working with, and what we have to offer that they don't. You always look for a competitive edge and use that to make a big impression on potential clients. The best in this role will be honest and direct in every client interaction. Using your winning personality and knowledge of what we do, you'll show how deals with Encore Draperies are always a win-win.

Practically speaking, you will:

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of our products.
  • Develop sales strategies/plans.
  • Cold-call, make contacts, and build business relationships.
  • Find leads and seek out key decision makers.
  • Schedule sales meetings/presentations.
  • Assess client needs, measure rooms, and suggest appropriate products.
  • Negotiate contracts/orders.
  • Process/place orders and communicate with head office.

While we're looking for someone who's familiar with our industry, you don't need to be an expert to apply. We're willing to train the right applicant, so if you've got a passion for interior design and are ready to work with an industry leader, we're waiting to hear from you.

Working at Encore Draperies

You'll be in charge of your own schedule. Timing for meetings, presentations, and any weekend business will be up to you. You'll receive a competitive commission. Qualifications

  • Experience in window/drapery installation is an asset.
  • Ability to measure windows and suggest appropriate products.
  • Experience in outside sales in home décor, windows, coverings, or a similar industry would be an asset.
  • Experience building and executing a comprehensive sales strategy.
  • Experience meeting and exceeding sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Valid driver's license and regular access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) would be an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, marketing, or communications.
