Do you enjoy working outside and speaking with guests from all over the world? We are looking to recruit Lift Operators for the upcoming winter season. Our Lift Operators are key guest-facing members of our winter operations team at Sun Peaks Resort. Lift Operators ensure guests' safe loading and unloading practices and monitor the RFID ticket system. Further financial bonuses are available for staff performing well. Full training is provided, and you will work alongside skilled and knowledgeable individuals. You will be stationed on one of our three lift-accessed mountains providing guests access to our world-renowned snow! Compensation Information: $19.00 per hour

Physical Requirement: Heavy; work activities involve handling loads up to 20 kg; predominantly in an outdoor setting (possible extreme cold).

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.

Skills you bring with you:

  • Must be outgoing, have a positive attitude, and enjoy working with people.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physically fit and free from injuries, able to lift 40lbs (20kg) for more than a few moments.
  • Skier/snowboarding ability skills an asset.
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks in a safe, timely manner.
  • Proven ability to be consistent in attendance, punctuality, and act with integrity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safe daily operation of one of the mountain lifts as assigned by the Lift Operations Managers & Supervisors.
  • Maintain the appearance of the stations, lift ramps, mazes and surroundings throughout the day.
  • Communicate hazards/problems to Supervisors.
  • Maintain personal appearance and uniform in accordance with the Employee Handbook.
