Closing Date: July 21, 2025 at 4:30 PMPURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Reporting to the Community Services Facilities Supervisor(s), the Facility Attendants are responsible for supporting the operation and cleanliness of the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre, and other facilities. Assist in the general maintenance, ice program, setting up and taking down of equipment and general cleaning of facilities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond positively and effectively to customer inquiries and concerns.
- Promote good public relations giving the City of Belleville a positive public image through its arena programs and services.
- Assist in maintaining the facility through ice maintenance and custodial cleaning as prescribed by the Facilities Manager.
- Complete setups in meeting rooms, common areas, arenas, gym space, and other duties as required, involving staging, chairs, tables, and audio-visual equipment.
- Assist the user groups utilizing the building facilities without hindrance to general duties.
- Work could include stooping, crouching, kneeling and stair climbing.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma in progress
- Minimum 1 year experience in custodial duties.
- Experience within a rink setting and work related to ice maintenance an asset.
- Pool custodial experience considered an asset.
- Experience with a floor machine, swing buffer, forklift, and personal lift an asset.
- General knowledge of plumbing and electrical an asset.
- Candidates must have their own safety boots.
- A satisfactory Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check.
