Top Tier Talent Group has partnered with a well-established Canadian distributor in the lifestyle and consumer goods sector to hire an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Pickering, ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional with strong working knowledge of Sage 300 (Accpac).

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-cycle accounts payable processing using Sage 300 (Accpac)
• Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices (3-way match)
• Ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices in accordance with terms
• Process weekly cheque runs, EFTs, and wire transfers
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies
• Maintain organized AP files and documentation for audit readiness
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice or payment issues
• Support month-end close activities related to AP, including journal entries and accruals
• Assist with ad hoc finance and accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• 35 years of experience in Accounts Payable
• Proficient in Sage 300 (Accpac) A real nice to have
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and AP best practices
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes accurately
• Clear and professional communication skills (both written and verbal)
