AGRICULTURE COORDINATOR - (Permanent, Full-time)

NATURE OF POSITION: Hiring one (1) Agriculture Coordinator. The Agriculture Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the Regional Agriculture Strategy and assists with the processing of development applications for land use planning and related department objectives. Work is carried out under general supervision and reports to the General Manager of Community and Development Services or designate.

The role involves the analysis of data, drafting of procedures, policies, reports, plans and bylaws, making recommendations to the Board and meeting and communication with the public and government agencies. The Agriculture Coordinator has considerable contact with external agencies and the public. Evening and weekend work may be required.

RATE OF PAY: $38.93 per hour (January 1, 2024 rate)

BENEFITS: In accordance with the Collective Agreement with C.U.P.E. Local 1699. This is a Union position.
