The Opportunity
As our client's first dedicated Human Resources Manager, you'll be instrumental in shaping their company culture and ensuring their continued success. This broad generalist role requires a hands-on approach, a strategic mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You'll be a trusted advisor to leadership, a champion for employees, and a key driver of growth initiatives.
What you will be doing:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives, fostering a positive and productive work environment across all divisions (retail outlets, production facilities, and corporate office).
- Talent Acquisition & Management: Lead all aspects of talent acquisition, from recruitment and onboarding to retention strategies. Focus on attracting, hiring, and retaining high-quality employees who embody the company's values and contribute to its success.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, providing guidance, support, and conflict resolution to ensure a fair and equitable workplace.
- Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management systems that encourage employee growth, productivity, and accountability.
- HR Policy & Compliance: Create, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities, and overall organizational effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a stand-alone or leadership capacity. Extra points for experience in a franchised retail or food service environment.
- Proven experience supporting a multi-faceted organization with both corporate and franchised operations, as well as a production component.
- Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, policy development and HR compliance.
- Strong understanding of employment law and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
