We're looking for a proactive, problem-solver and creative builder like you to join us at this pivotal moment as a Sr. Software Engineer in Vancouver, BC (hybrid work model).

We're not just adopting technology; we're a technology-driven company at our core, obsessed with creating exceptional user experiences and leveraging innovative solutions to redefine our industry. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be instrumental in:

• Leading the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of a new Next.js application built in TypeScript from the ground up.

• Ensuring the development of high-performance, reliable, scalable, and maintainable code.

• Collaborating closely with the product director, designers, and other engineers to define features and translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Establishing and promoting best practices for full-stack development, including code quality, automated testing, and CI/CD.

• Mentoring and providing technical guidance to other engineers, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge sharing.

• Participating actively in code reviews to ensure high standards and consistency.

• Identifying and advocating for improvements in our development processes, tools, and technologies.

• Troubleshooting, debugging, and providing timely solutions to complex technical issues.

• Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly within the React, Next.js, and TypeScript communities.

• Contributing to architectural decisions and the overall technical direction of the project.

• Proven experience in designing and building complex, scalable web applications, including significant experience with greenfield projects.
• Strong proficiency building Next.js applications using TypeScript and React.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment; a resourceful and proactive mindset.
• Proficient with Amazon Web Services (AWS) – particularly services like AWS Amplify Gen 2, S3, EC2, and RDS.
• Solid understanding of modern architecture patterns and best practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

???? COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Salary is $100,000 to $125,000 per annum (The actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity).
