Leading the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of a new Next.js application built in TypeScript from the ground up.
Ensuring the development of high-performance, reliable, scalable, and maintainable code.
Collaborating closely with the product director, designers, and other engineers to define features and translate requirements into technical solutions.
Establishing and promoting best practices for full-stack development, including code quality, automated testing, and CI/CD.
Mentoring and providing technical guidance to other engineers, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge sharing.
Participating actively in code reviews to ensure high standards and consistency.
Identifying and advocating for improvements in our development processes, tools, and technologies.
Troubleshooting, debugging, and providing timely solutions to complex technical issues.
Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly within the React, Next.js, and TypeScript communities.
Contributing to architectural decisions and the overall technical direction of the project.
- Proven experience in designing and building complex, scalable web applications, including significant experience with greenfield projects.
- Strong proficiency building Next.js applications using TypeScript and React.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment; a resourceful and proactive mindset.
- Proficient with Amazon Web Services (AWS) – particularly services like AWS Amplify Gen 2, S3, EC2, and RDS.
- Solid understanding of modern architecture patterns and best practices.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
???? COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary is $100,000 to $125,000 per annum (The actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity).
