About the Opportunity

We are currently looking for a full-time North American Truck Freight Coordinator to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. Reporting to the Freight Manager, you will be handling a portfolio of diverse accounts, with a focus on North American truck freight primarily flat deck LTL and FTl, Oversize Equipment and project freight when required.


Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying and vetting prospective carriers to build a pipeline of service providers.
  • Gathering information from clients to determine their shipping needs.
  • Obtaining shipping quotes from carriers and provide best solution/rate to clients.
  • Booking freight service through carriers for clients
  • Arranging insurance
  • Work with carriers to ensure all regulations for licenses, insurance, permits, pilots etc. are followed.
  • Coordinating the pickup and delivery of shipments.
  • Monitoring the progress of shipments to ensure that goods arrive promptly and intact.
  • Advising clients on potential delays or issues
  • Managing key accounts by ensuring they are happy with JORIs services.
  • Collaborating with Sales in onboarding new clients and implement strategic decisions.

About You

To qualify, you will needat least2 years of Logistics experience, with a keen understanding of market trends, knowledge and experience building relationships with various trucking companies to support established lanes of transport for our clients. You will need to have excellent customer service skills through timely and effective communication. Some experience with large project freight is an asset.

In addition, candidates with strong knowledge, skills, and experience in the following willsucceed in this role:

  • 2 Years experience in logistics or transportation coordination.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Canadian Customs, and U.S. Customs processes and procedures
  • A positive attitude andsolutions-focused customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizationaland business planning skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office
  • Cargowise experience an asset
  • TDG Certified
