Position Summary

With the launch of a new cohort at our Abbotsford campus for the Pharmacy Assistant program, Western Community College is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Assistant Instructor to join our instructional team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and the healthcare field and who enjoy mentoring and guiding students toward career success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in alignment with the Pharmacy Assistant program curriculum.
  • Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and assess performance through assignments, quizzes, and exams.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student success.
  • Stay current with industry trends and update instructional materials as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in a pharmacy setting (community or hospital)
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy practices, including dispensing, inventory, and customer care
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Previous instructional or training experience is an asset

Job Types: Part-time

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Extended health care after 3 months

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday 3pm to 10pm
  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

  • Occupational: 2 years (preferred)
