Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our vibrant dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food service industry, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of food quality. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably while fostering a positive work environment for staff.

Duties

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, including staff management and customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and preparation standards.
  • Mentor, and evaluate staff performance to enhance team productivity.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Oversee the use of POS systems for efficient order processing and payment handling.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service quality and operational efficiency.

Skills

  • Proven experience in restaurant supervision or similar roles within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Proficient in supervising staff and managing team dynamics.
  • Familiarity with POS systems for transaction processing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of health regulations related to food handling and safety practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
  • On call
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Bedford, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Serve Right (Nova Scotia) (preferred)
