We are conducting a search for a highly capable HR Generalist in Mississauga. This position will be a key member of the HR team, supporting a dynamic, fast-paced environment while also taking on overflow HR Business Partner duties. This role reports directly to the Director of Human Capital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary HR contact for assigned facilities or groups, escalating concerns as appropriate.
- Respond to internal and external HR inquiries, delivering excellent service and guidance.
- Lead and support the full recruitment cycle: job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, offers, onboarding.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding ensuring complete documentation, Day 1 readiness, and seamless integration.
- Maintain HRIS and personnel records (payroll, personal data, leaves, turnover rates), ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance management, disciplinary letters, and employee development.
- Support payroll with accurate employee updates (leaves, wage increases, employment changes).
- Manage time and attendance processes as needed.
- Assist with Health & Safety initiatives and reporting.
- Produce HR reports and analytics to support decision-making.
- Plan and coordinate HR events and meetings.
- Take on overflow HR Business Partner duties including strategic support, workforce planning, change management, and policy rollouts.
- Lead or support HR projects to drive efficiencies and enhance the employee experience.
- Use HR technology (e.g., Dayforce) to improve processes and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience, ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or a similar environment.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation in Ontario.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., Dayforce) an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
