We are currently seeking a Staffing Coordinator to join our Human Capital team in Mississauga. This role will primarily oversee agency staffing coordination while also supporting overflow HR Generalist duties. Reporting to the Human Resource Business Partner, the Staffing Coordinator is a critical partner in maintaining our workforce and supporting our people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule agency staff to fulfill production requirements.
- Act as the main point of contact between Belvika and all temporary staffing agencies.
- Register agency staff in the time and attendance system.
- Resolve clock-in/out or attendance concerns for agency and Belvika staff.
- Take prompt action to address staffing shortfalls or schedule changes.
- Generate and provide weekly reports on agency hours to supervisors.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to monitor attendance accuracy.
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding of hourly employees.
- Support Health & Safety program adherence and training.
- Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and database.
- Provide support for employee relations matters, including responding to inquiries and assisting with investigations.
- Participate in the recruitment process for internal roles (job postings, screening, interviews, onboarding).
- Support payroll by ensuring all agency and hourly staff updates are accurate and timely.
- Assist with HR reporting, events, and projects as assigned.
- Take on overflow HR Generalist responsibilities including supporting performance management, training sessions, HR policy rollouts, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Complete other duties as assigned to support the HR team's effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in staffing coordination, recruitment, or HR generalist roles (manufacturing or warehousing environment preferred).
- Solid understanding of Ontario employment legislation and health & safety requirements.
- Strong ability to manage agency relationships and workforce scheduling.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Proficiency with HRIS and time & attendance systems an asset.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
