Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements and specifications.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials in accordance with building plans.
- Select and source materials needed for projects, ensuring optimal quality and cost efficiency.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including architects and engineers, to deliver exceptional results.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition, ensuring safety and functionality on the job site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential or commercial construction.
- In-depth knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction of frameworks.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings with precision.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices in the construction site environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in project execution.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and communicate effectively with project managers and team members.
- Completion of relevant carpentry or construction trade certifications or apprenticeships.
